Professional experience

Nigel started his career with Audit New Zealand spending 7 years auditing public sector
organisations throughout the South Island.  The experience he gained as part of this
employment has been invaluable in assisting clients through internal and external audit
assignments.  While working at Ashton Wheelans Nigel has been able to build
on these skills and use them to benefit his accounting clients. 

His experience includes:

• Statutory and external audits of large, medium and small organisations
• Internal audit services to medium and larger sized organisations
• Due diligence and business acquisitions
• Financial reporting and accounts preparation
• Business mentoring and assistance
• Compliance services including preparation of annual financial statements, monthly budgets, cash flow forecasts and annual tax returns

Other Activities

When Nigel is not in the office he is probably out in the Port Hills mountain biking or hunting in the mountains further afield. Nigel and his wife Claire are pleased to announce the arrival of Tyler - a black and white springer spaniel who keeps them on their toes.
